A silent song, but my heart beats to its drum.

The new collection is called Paper Hands, and its pretty exciting. The fashion label; Song for the Mute, but you’ve probably heard of it by now.

The lyrics of a muted song, expressed through flawless construction and stunning lines.

Jade throws the black cape over a white shirt and mini.

Worn with some scuffed up boots.

Here’s what I love, the pieces in the collection are so easily introduced into any wardrobe. I’ve got my eye on a few, which I’m certain would feel right at home in mine. I might start my list a little early this year.

Dear Santa… =)

A skinny latte… Sugar, please. Oh, and can I supersize that?!

A life in fashion, is a life of excess, and without compromise; the dream that we are all chasing.

But fashion is always fading. Lasting style means mastering unassuming sophistication. A generic trend should never be interpreted literally.

A great look always stems from humility. With that in mind, there is no such thing as going overboard… ever!

So, bring on the X-X-L print sweater, the over-sized shoulder bag, and frame it with something chunky.

And why not pose with a Great Dane, if you see one coming your way!

Parfait!

A rich and refined romance. Longrain.

I’m always super excited about sharing hot restaurant tips.

Last night I had dinner with friends, at a sensational spot in Surry Hills, called Longrain.

The conceptual layout at Longrain has a northern European feel. The space is light and airy, but finished with a modest and determined décor.

Longrain is driven by aesthetics; this is a dining experience that is all about stimulating the senses, with dishes designed to share (which I always love).

The cuisine is a fuse between Thai and southern Chinese.

Longrain was impressive from start to finish; from pre-dinner, freshly shaken, cocktails, at the candle lit bar, to impeccably presented, scrumptious, desserts. It was a beautiful story.

Yes, caught up in sensual stimulation, romanticised, and, as with any romance, perhaps becoming prone to overlook flaws. Therefore I will make it a point to express my disappointment in the waiting staff, which lacked any sense of engagement and charm.

Was that a little harsh?

Meet Marshall, of The {Tiny} Times.

Tiny in stature, but that hasn’t stopped this little charismatic charmeur, age two, from taking a giant stand in the fashionable world of blogging.

I recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Marshall, the Internet sensation, who by no means shies away from the flare of a camera.

Despite the attention (to which he appears oblivious), this trendy toddler, stays grounded, and enjoys quality time with a loving family.

But of course, before getting serious about playtime, there’s those all-important wardrobe choices, in which Marshall refuses to take a side-stand.

It’s all part of the fun.

Savage beauty. Meet Ben.

Ben’s sense of style is simply sensational. His wardrobe is a window into his soul, and an expression of exceptional individuality. He literally wears his heart on his sleeve.

Yes, Ben’s wardrobe is incredibly impressive, but you truly get a sense of accidental perfection. It just doesn’t look like hard work, and that is why I love it.

The minimalist. Meet Jade.

Jade would best describe her style as minimalistic, and somewhat edgy, for lack of better words. Her wardrobe is mainly monochrome, and her remarkable style is the result of a perfect play between structure, shape and texture.

Potts right on point.

MissChu is a Vietnamese cuisine in Potts Point, which embodies the vibe, and all the simplicity of a street kitchen in Southeast Asia, but with the added bonus of superior hygiene.

Plastic chairs and tables fill up the street corner, drawing a lively crowd. Food is ordered through a hole in the wall and everyone makes the most of what little space is provided. If you’re worried about having your personal space invaded then this is not the place for you.

Lunch at MissChu is a great opportunity to get rid of any spare change weighing down your pockets. It’s value for money.

The lychee and cucumber crush is surprisingly good, and if you’re craving something sweet, I recommend trying a custard bun. They’re perfectly smooth in texture. One of my girlfriends made the comparison to a baby’s bottom, to which I raise an eyebrow, but make up your own mind =)

Freshly squeezed.

Freshly squeezed orange juice reminds me of cafeteria, Sunday breakfasts with my father, as a child. This bag is like a perfectly ripe orange, and that’s why I love it. It’s summer, it’s fresh.

Barriga llena, corazón contento.

I’m pleased when I find a Spanish restaurant that truly captures the essence of Spanish food culture. It makes me feel right at home. I liked Subsolo from the moment I set foot on the gloomy staircase leading into this basement on King street. You could just feel the vibrant energy and warmth in the atmosphere, that drew this crowd underground.

The menu at Subsolo is very contemporary. The vegetarian submenu was mouth watering, with dishes such as roasted vegetables with haloumi, tofu and chickpea puree. It was convincing enough to turn my dinner dates vegetarian for the night. I love when that happens!

There was the one exception…

Mmmm…

My one disappointment at Subsolo was that they didn’t serve sangria in jugs. There’s just something wrong about ordering sangria by the glass, don’t you think?

Was it love, or was it lust?

What is this feeling?

Instantaneous, it’s undeniable… I feel out of control.

A pink little box, hidden away with a treasure.

Last pair…? A 37?

I can’t deny the blunt work of fate.

Yes, we were meant to be together.

Miu Miu, I love you.
